Hello there. I'm about to create a video for my workplace consisting mainly of video from our surveilance-systems. The video is at the moment stored at the HD of a Sanyo DSR-3000 digital video-recorder.

My first idea was simply to move the required files from the unit to a win-PC at work and then burn the necessary data to CD/DVD to be imported in my mac. However, it would of course be easier if I could just connect the Mac and the unit through a CAT 5, but how would I go about communicating with the unit in OSX? I have the ip-address as well as the username and password, but I'm none the wiser for it.

Anyone got a clue?

I would just plug her in, go to the GO menu in finder. Then "connect to server" type in the IP in the server address click connect it should work. I have never done this before but it makes sense.
