Are you willing to sell the iPod by itself?

Yes, I am willing to sell all the other items by themselves. Just PM me with an offer. Thanks!

Personally, I did the same thing for the same reasons. The heat problem won't change - it's a problem with every Apple, even old PBs. You only notice it more now because now they use dual-core chips.

Returning from the tangent...

What are the specs and model of that HD?

Right, so after some serious thinking, I want to sell my MBP instead. I doubt I'll really need this much power in a machine. I might just get a regular MacBook, I'm not sure yet. I'd like to see how much I could get for this machine, though. I've kept it in great condition and cleaned it often with iKlear.

You'd get the complete system, however, I think I'll keep the 2GB of RAM in case I get a Macbook so you'll be getting 512MB (one OEM stick). Also including original box, accessories and a copy of the reciept. I have a few other items that I could add as well: FoofBag, TouchTurn, Bluetooth Keyboard+Mouse, PeachPit Final Cut Pro 5 Book, 120GB LaCie External USB Drive, new Cingular Motorola ROKR, rarely used 30GB White iPod with Video w/ Agent18 case. (Ask me if you're looking for anything else.)

You can see in my previous posts that I've had problems with it: the typical heat and whine issues. I've had it sent and serviced twice and the problems are not as bad as before.

I'm not 100% sure I'll sell it but I want to see how much people would be willing to pay. I guess if I get a good offer, I could go through with a transaction. I'd also consider a trade for a DP G5 Powermac if anyone has one.

All comments and offers would be appreciated.
what made your wanna sell it so soon anyway?

I've got a DP 1.8 PowerMac that I'd consider trading if that's something that interests you. Here are the specs:

Dual 1.8 G5 (June 2004 Rev.)
1.25 GB RAM (This tower has 4 slots available, 4GB max)
Bluetooth
Airport Extreme
80GB SATA
120GB SATA
ATI Radeon 9600 XT, 128MB
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-108 Superdrive (Updated firmware to 1.18, allows -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL burning as well as faster speeds)
Original packaging, manuals, accessories, mouse, keyboard, etc.

I was hoping to sell it or trade for an Intel iMac, but the MBP interests me, too. Regardless, could you post the complete specs for your machine? Thanks!

ncook06, I rarely ever noticed the heat on my old 12" PB. I should have kept that one instead. Also, if you're asking about the LaCie drive I have for sale, it's the D2 model with the big blue button on it, USB only and it has 120GB of space.

macg4, read the post. ;)

barrettd, I'll think about your offer and get back with you as soon as I can. It was purchased new from the Apple Store so it's completely stock.

I'm in Santa Clarita, so we can do a local exchange in person, if that helps.

MacBooks and MacBook Pro's have been observed to be "more powerful" than the latest G5's.

Whoops, sorry for the confusion. I meant that I didn't need such a powerful PORTABLE machine. Now I'm thinking of getting the smaller consumer Macbook and/or a G5 tower (eventually) if that combo makes any sense.

You just want me to hurry up and make the deal with you!! LOL. ;) I should be able to send a message to you later this evening if no one else emails from my Craigslist ad. BTW, I'm in Northridge but meeting up won't be a problem at all.

No problem. I'm really not in a hurry, just anxious at the prospect of trading. :) I can come out to Northridge and meet somewhere out there, too.

$&%@!!!! I dented the top lid of it while cleaning it this morning. The MBP is no longer for sale. The other items I have are still available. Or if you're looking for something in particular, just ask. I probably have it.

LOL no! I guess when I was holding it and cleaning the other side, my nail must have gripped the lid and made a little indent. :o Whoops.

Hmm. Didn't realize the shells were that weak. Probably better off getting myself a MacBook.

Okay, okay. I know it's got a little dimple on it, but it's seriously up for sale now and I am considering offers. No longer a feeler. I don't really want any trades.

Would you possibly consider a trade for a 17" G4 Powerbook (1.67 Ghz, hi-res screen/dual layer superdrive model)?

EDIT: Sorry, missed your post where you indicated you weren't looking for trades...
