Right now I'm dealing with the whole "Mac formated iPod won't work on a PC" BS. I really need to transfer files from my Mac to my school's PC.

I've decided I'd be willing to reformat my iPod into a FAT32, or "PC compatible"... But I remember, everytime I formated my iPod [4G] it asks to be plugged into the firewire power adapter it came with [FW in my PowerBook worked just as fine]. Its never been a problem as I've had my FW cable with me all those times.

But right now, I only have my USB cable...

Being a school PC, it is locked from any software installs.

So what to do? 😕
