help!!! stuffit always crash!! is there another program that unzips files?

The OS does it all by itself.

The OS won't handle StuffIt archives all by itself. Anyway I've never had an stability problems with StufIt.

There are alternatives on VersionTracker, but I still find Stuffit to be more complete. Maybe try fixing Stuffit first. Does it crash on all files? 🙂

Download the latest version of Stuffit Expander from the Allume website.

do what misterme says..... the latest version is very stable... i think it is 10.0.2...

i was having the same problem and the new version fixed all crashing issues...

Generally, 10.0.2 is stable, but it does seem to have problems, apparently, with some RAR files. It either crashes or is unable to expand the archive.

For those sort of occasions, I keep this as a backup. It's never once failed to extract an RAR archive that Stuffit otherwise just couldn't handle.
