new Ti - Trackpad Paint - "polishing" - Normal?

Hi,

I have a new Ti 1ghz. I am aware of overall paint "issues" but thought most had been fixed...noticed that after just one day of use, the paint on the trackpad has become "polished" in appearance...wearing away a bit? Is this normal...have others experienced this without the real paint chipping problems?

Thoughts appreciated...

That happened to mine, the textured finish just smooths off, doesnt hurt it though.:)

I have a 1Ghz powerbook aswell and the paint hasnt smoothed off (and hopefully wont) yet. My old Ti book had paint chips off it everywhere and the thing looked pretty bad. I was tempted to use some of that TiPaint but decided not to after reading bad reviews and the like.. well its gone now. (Sold it).

Anyways i think the the TiBooks just need to handled with care (extreme care) to look in tip top shape.. and so on.
