Answered (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=203590) - you can still get Windows Media Player 9 for Mac. It's not Universal Binary though, but neither is Flip4Mac officially yet either.

There's a QuickTime version available too.

VLC will play anything you throw at it.

Or Mplayer, also excellent

http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/

And both universal already.

Thanks y'all, I am currently downloading the trailer in QT format, but as you all suggested, I tried flip4mac and WMP, but neither worked. VLC wouldn't play it (I have the newest version), and though I didn't try Mplayer, I still chose to download the QT file, which is 150 MB instead of 50 MB for the WMP format.:(

VLC is not universal for whatever reason.

There is an Intel native version, but they still offer a PowerPC version separate.

It would be universal if it ran on both PowerPC and Intel Macs seamlessly.

I now have the QT version, no problems in either QT or VLC, but when I put the movie in teh folder "Movies", it doesn't display in FrontRow under "Movies". What do I do?

Thanks, I knew it existed (after all, I have it) but I couldn't figure out where I got it from.

Sorry for bumping, but I would really like to know how I can get the movie to show in FrontRow.

I dropped it into my Movies folder and Front Row picked it up and plays it without any problems

I found a solution for playing .wmv files on Intel Macs (despite the Flip4Mac beta): iSquint (http://www.isquint.org/) can convert .vmw files to .mp4!:D
