I actually have two of these! one has no wireless card socket, smaller hard drive and no firewire.
This one I am on has all the above. HOWEVER.... I am dissapointed that apple does not make there software backwards compatible, I have a hard time finding new software for this, and it's running real slow, flash cant upgrade to the latest version... I recently switched from windows to Mac, never go back to windows/pc:D

Yeah i found that a bit odd...even more so given that Lion ditches classic OS X wallpapers.

Yeah it's kinda weird but in my opinion it's also a nice touch. We all know that Apple gives a lot of interest in design choices, and so also this one has to be somehow meaningful. In my opinion it represents the importance of previous issues of Mac OS X, without which Lion itself couldn't exist today.

Or they just like it..
Why are some Lion screenshots different than other ones?
Like cambookpro- Has Lion, but it looks like a regular OS X About This Mac screen. But then zildjansg has the new Lion screen?

Because the regular panel that appears when you click on " :apple: > about this mac " is pretty much the same as the old one, than if you click on the "more info..." button, it shows you the new style panel

Or they just like it..
I don't think that it's just because they like it. This would actually belittle all the work and effort that Apple designers put in their great work. In my opinion there's alway a reason behind Apple's design choices, because everything is studied with the highest attention and care for details, from the general look to the apparently insignificant details. That's why the Mac OS X User interface is regarded as one of the most beautiful and perfection-aspiring ever. And you get the idea of this beauty and attention in every single little detail, from the "traffic lights" buttons, to the system icons, like the "textedit" icon hiding the "Here's to the crazy ones/think different" text. And the new Lion "about this mac" panel makes no exception.
I just hope I cleared that...

The logo is this: http://tiashi.deviantart.com/art/Apple-Rainbow-Logo-4-Mac-OS-X-170459875 - just a matter of changing an image file.
The buttons are slightly different because I'm using a different theme on my MacBook (think it's called Aqua Extreme).

What computer do you have? If I find the time I'll do it for you, but here's how I did it anyway:
1. Find the icon of my computer in Macintosh HD/System/Library/CoreServices/Coretypes.bundle/Contents/Resources
2. Duplicated it, made 2000 backups, etc etc.
3. Used iConveter (Google it, it's online) to convert the icon to a 512x512 image.
3. Opened Photoshop, cut out the screen, put the wallpaper in it and then traced round the 'sheen' with the pen tool. Then I made it white and played with the opacity for a while until it looked right.
4. Saved as a .png, then went back into iConverter and converted the png to an icon again.
5. Gave it the proper name, dropped it back into the folder in step 1, then restarted.
6. Ta-dah!
I'm only 13 and can do it, so anyone can :p

The only thing I wish it had is in Intel processor. But, PowerPC works fine. I just want Intel for running Chrome and/or Firefox (The new one, 4?). I'm still on Firefox 3.
Have you looked into TenFourFox? It'll even run on G3s running Tiger... and from my experiences, I can say, from experience, that it should run beautifully on a dual 1.8 G5.

Where did you get different picture than original About This Mac pic?
In Lion, if you click "More Info" from the About This Mac box, you are brought to that screen. It's technically System Profiler, but it's a summary from which you can delve into the full specs. The picture of the Mac you have is displayed automatically on that summary page.

For privacy.
Is it possible for someone to use it maliciously?
Yes. It was possible to get a copy of Snow Leopard for a very low price, just with a hardware serial number (contains the manufacturing date of a Mac) via Apples Hardware-Up-To-Date program (http://www.zdnet.com/blog/hardware/apple-details-mac-os-x-snow-leopard-up-to-date-program/4655). iLife 09 too, IIRC. Apple changed it for Lion, but i'm sure you can still do many "funny" things, just with a Mac hardware serial number.

I thought it would be fun to make my Apple green. Life needs a little color sometimes.
http://marcusumstead.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Screen-shot-2012-01-16-at-2.58.37-AM.png
At first, I made it red, but then I thought, "Hey, I like green apples better, really."
I sort of expected someone to show up here with a pink one, since pink is always the new black and all that. :p
I also edited my login screen Apple the exact same green, but I didn't bother to take a screenshot of it, since it's exactly the same.

Late 2011 17" MBP w/ Anti-glare. Any idea why it shows integrated and not the 6770?

It's the active graphics when you ran About this Mac.

I just found out it's the adaptive graphics switcher. Is it best to leave this on?

In a word - Yes. It optimises the power consumption by only switching to the ATI card when needed. If you want some control over it download gfxCardStatus.
