A couple of weeks back, a Keyboard Driver Update showed up via Software Update...my question is: where are the contents of this update placed? In the Home library, or Macintoch HD library, or elsewhere.

I want to do an archive and reinstall the OS, minus this update. Or do a smart backup w/ some backup app. I have reason to believe that it is responsible for some issues.

Much appreciated.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but if you know what it's called, have you tried using Spotlight?

now if this said updated happens to be the keyboard firmware update.

You can't take it off

Yeah, no luck there.

I am worried that it may be a firmware update, but the Apple page doesnt say either way.
