Hey All

Just got a new HDTV and I'm wanting to prove to my wife that it's not a complete waste of money

So can you recommend a place to download HD and SD movie trailers or any kind of clip actually?

I've tried a few places but they don't actually let you d/l them, just stream them.

Cheers in advance, RJ.

hmmm if you have quicktime pro i am pretty sure you can download the ones from apple's trailer website.

or if you don't have quicktime pro they are saved to the computer temporarily in a cache and you can try and find it.

Cheers

Apple (http://www.apple.com/trailers/) lets you save HD trailers if you have QT pro.

**EDIT**
To slow, wasted a couple of minutes downloading a 35 MB trailer just to be sure :)

where i found the quicktime cache and will be difficult to find what you are looking for after find the cache folder

~(home)/library/caches/QuickTime

and there are a crapload of folders just find the one that has a folder size equal to or greater than the movie you downloaded

When you download the HD trailer off of Apple's Quicktime Trailer site, go to Quicktime and choose Window>Show Movie Info (Option-I). You'll see the URL in the movie info window, which you can then copy and paste into your browser (in Safari, paste the URL directly into the Download window to save it to your computer).

This means you can save HD trailers off of Apple's movie trailers site.

Downloading regular trailers is more difficult. In Safari, you'll have to go to View>View Source and look for the right URL. In Firefox, you can go to Tools>Page Info (Option-I) and click on the Media tab and look for the mov URL.

(This also saves you the pain of looking through the Quicktime cache.)

You can find trailers on some BT sites. Am I the only BT user that DOESN'T want to D/L the whole thing? Geez.
