The comparison between the 17" and the Viao is worth taking a look at.

Did you guys see the comparitiion between the Vaio and the PB 17”
The PB kicks the Vaio’s A..s. The 17” is the best portable available now!!!!
Features, price, quality…
I want one…!!!
This is the type of product that makes me feel proud of apple!!!
Hope I can save some money because I am definitely buying one

...now I know it, Apple has a time machine, they can get stuff back from the future (they just replace the CPU with a slower G4, they don't want to attract too much attention, do they ?)

That's a beautiful picture.

It might just be the angle, but the 17" look so much thinner than the 15" TiBook.

The newer photos of the 17" AlumiBook make it look much better. When Steve held it up at MacWorld, it didn't look too impressive, but now I want one. That said, I'll be sticking with my 15" TiBook for a good while to come.

ah, my Pismo Powerbook used to be so stylish, back in the day when black was still fashionable for a notebook... when the 15" came out, it was something never seen before, now, its cover/hinge design looks really clumsy compared to the 17"...

Can't wait to see what is coming up next. I mean: they can't really make it thinner, they can't really make it wider...could this be perfection ?:p

p.s: ok, there is still origami (fold it in half if you prefer a 12"PB), and more glowing stuff. There is never enough glowing stuff.
