I have an offer for a trade between my 17" Intel iMac 512mb ram and 60 GB iPod bought in Jan. for a 2.0GHz MacBook with 1 GB ram, 60 GB HD bought last Sunday. For what I use my iMac for, the MacBook can handle, and i REALLY need the portability. Yes, no?

Depends on how much you like your ipod. I personally would not do that trade, mainly because I love my ipod and can not do without it. For me the answer depends on how much you like your ipod.

iMac and iPod value = $1698
Macbook value = $1399

Seems like a crappy deal to me.
