Ahh, yes. A somewhat obscure name unless you are a car fanatic. The 27 part goes back a long time. All my callsigns have ended with 27. Well most of them. A couple ended with "6". You'd REALLY have to be "in the know" for the meaning of that one. Cheers:D

I have a really cool idea for a desktop. I might try it out later but don't have the time now. What if you made 30 (?) pictures of a calender in Photoshop, each one highlighting one day. You could then name them 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on. Then you could put them into the Pictures folder and then setup System Prefs to change the picture each day. You would also have to make sure that the "Random" selection is unchecked. Then, every day it would update with the picture of a calender with the current day highlighted.:D I'll post pics if I do it later tonight. Ok, if anyone tries this please post pictures.

I see you figured it out, but yeah, I've never been a fan of CandyBar, especially if I have to pay for it (at least to do more than the basics). The Finder icon is from Visage, the rest are either from the icon packs I listed or my own creations from those as an example, and in most cases they're just pasted on. For Adium, though, I created a .AdiumIcon pack so that I could have my away and offline status reported in the dock, using the templates from the icons I listed and the Adiumy Jayne dock icon pack. For Garageband, System Preferences, and I think one or two others, I had to go into their packages and replace the original icns file for it to stick, they wanted to revert to the original once they were opened. Yes, I kept a backup for all of them.

Just replace the default image with a colored one, similar to what I did with gmail notifier (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=166332).

I was about to pack up my camera and suddenly these shafts of sunlight blazed down. It was all over in a couple of minutes, tops. I just had time to make a couple of white balance adjustments as I ran off a dozen or so shots, and this was the best one, as the gold was just a little more saturated. Other than that, what you see was what was there.

It certainly is cool. That's just a setting change?
I'm at work so this is a quick and dirty guide on how i did it.

Its actually pretty easy...

1.Take an image and and photoshop areas into B&W with the Layer mask tool (See June MacWorld for details)... You can make as many steps as you want...each step is its own image. I start all B&W... then i can fade in just a couple bushes at a time...then the grass...etc.

2.Take each photo and place them in order alphabetically by file name (I used 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc) so they change in order) in their own folder.

3.Then go into System Preferences (desktop/ScrSav) and choose the folder with these images.

4. Set it to change every 5 seconds or however you choose. Because the images are the same in each transtion...all you see is the color fade.

If anyone has questions you can PM me. I will clean this up later on.

It is a bit cleaner now, but yeah, it just always gets messy when I am working on things. I had it all clean about a month ago. In that "Organize all this!" folder, I have four folders of stuff that had been in my desktop until it got to be too much and I packed it away at various times, thus the four different folders.
