I have files on my OS X partition I wanna transfer over, but when it says I don't have the permissions to drag and drop stuff into my Windows partition. Any thoughts?

If you formatted your Windows XP partition as NTFS then OS X cannot write to it.

The only file system that they can both write to is FAT32, which isn't recommended above a certain size...frankly, I wouldn't use it at all.

If you have an external drive, I would recommend splitting the partition and formatting a segment as FAT32 as a staging area between Windows XP and OS X.

Indeed, but it would have been more unfortunate if you used at FAT32 for XP. From what I've heard it makes the operating system more unstable.
