Apple Hardware Test Problem

Ever since I installed Windows XP Home on my iMac, it takes FOREVER to probe. It spends over an hour probing, and still nothing happens. The SuperDrive spins down, and the computer hangs. Does anyone else experience this? Is it because my windows partition is NTFS? Please help. As you see in one of my other threads, I need to run this due to headphone porblems.

more likely a corrupted NTFS partition. NTFS sometimes makes a mac go blaaaa when there's an error with it. Windows on the other hand doesn't care until you need a file on the corrupted part of the disk. Try reinstalling Windows in FAT32.
