Cinema Displays Update/Price Revision?

I would bet Apple up dates the ACD at WWDC 2006, with price drop and a built in iSight, and brighter screen(perhaps a Glossy Option?)

I think there's a good chance of Apple releasing some thinner, brighter ACDs with some price drops at WWDC 2006. I'm guessing the resolution would stay roughly the same though as its kind of a "standard" at these screen sizes.

I'm thinking a thinner design with built-in iSight. I can't wait to see the revisions. Hopefully, they will come to us by WWDC '06.

Why wouldn't it work? Or are you meaning "would be practical"?

Wouldn't it be a bit...high up .

The iSight would have to be a bit moveable to work on a 30", I'd think...

Yeah, that's what I meant.

They should really drop the price, at least a bit. Compare the 24" Dell with the 23" ACD. I wouldn´t be really sure about paying more just for the ACD´s superior design.

Not really, the iSights aren't aimed straight forward in current laptop models either. It'd just have to be pointed slight more downwards and it would be just as (in)convenient to adjust the screen tilt as for the laptops.

Yeah, exactly, you could easily end up doing the same thing on a laptop with the built-in iSight.

I don't think isights will arrive on cinema displays just yet- price drops wouldn't surprise me though.

With OS 10.5 set to include Resolution Scaling (resolution independence),
which won't make much of a difference on 100ppi displays, don't you think Apple will up the resolution to 150ppi or so?

200ppi LCDs like the ViewSonic VP2290b still cost $7000 - $8000, so that seems out of the question, but has anyone heard anything about a bump up in resolution - every ACD so far is or has been about 100ppi.
