Ok i need to make a website. but i need this website to have a kind of forum so people can leave messages. I want there to be no rego if if a rego it has to be simple. and i need it to cost little or no money. please help, this is for a school project type thing./

Shrug iWeb and .Mac are probably your best bet...:confused:
A recent update to iWeb allows people to leave comments on blog entries - you could use that feature, right??? By the way, I think you need .Mac for the comment function to work.
If you already have iWeb, .Mac is less than 100 bucks and it gives you a domain (kind of...) for a year.

hmm, well at the moment i cant really get the .mac, im a bit short of cash, and what is this phpBB??

phpBB is the devil.
If Vanilla (http://getvanilla.com/) does do it for you look at punBB (http://www.punbb.org/). But my recommendation would be Vanilla.

ok so ive got behiveforum and im trying to runthe setup and during the MySQL Database Configuration it asks for a hostname. what the hell do i put here
i am using a free host thing from 6te.net and it says i have a database name but i need the hostname. please tell me what i have to do to make this work
if anyone wants to help me by doing it for me please pm me

Database connection to 'localhost' could not be established or permission is denied.
thats what pops up with localhost

are you sure you got your database name, username, and password all correct?

ok to cut a long story short i got it working and the only thing i had to do was listen to my computer illiterate dad, RTFI.

Every time exams come around i have it marked on my arm and i am actually thinking of having it tattooed on the back of my hand or fingers so then i would never forget it
