Ok. I know you can apply a faculty/staff discount on the apple store website. How would you go about this in an actual Apple store. I don't want to wait on shipping so I plan on going to my local Apple store and buying a 2ghz White MacBook. But i want to get the faculty/staff educators discount. Do I need to bring my Staff id?

i do it all the time, just present some sort of ID, see the discount taken, and leave with the biggest smile on your face.:)

Sometimes if you can log into the online apple store at the apple store and show them the price online, they will give you that price. They did that for me with my powerbook when I bought it a few years ago.

Thats only in the UK and if you are a member of the NUS so it doesn't apply to buyers in the US they have a standard discount rate for students and teachers...

Eh, I don't know, I think the discount price may vary in the US depending on what kind of instution you go to. The community college discount isn't as large as the university one.
