im about to install windows on my new macbook
is there a firmware update for the macbook?
i couldnt find it on the site and dont want to continue until its safe

No. I wondered the same, so looked around. Couldnt find one so decided to put bootcamp in and give it ago and it worked. So obviously the macbooks have the new firmware as standard.
