What parts are upgradeable on the PowerMac? If I buy a dual, would I be able to upgrade to quad my self later on? Does the board support SLI? Etc etc?

Older G4 PowerMacs have had third party CPU upgrades released. As far as I am aware no such upgrades exist for the PowerMac G5. Apple do not support upgrading the CPUs.
No current Mac support SLI, although this may simply be a driver issue.
