Contextual menus don't stick

Ok, i have this problem that ransomly occurs. When I click on a menu, it just fades away instantly. Click & hold works however. A relogin fixes it, but does anyone know what causes it?

When I first got my iMac, I had a really weird problem--I couldn't drag anything. Whenever I clicked and dragged on an icon (or text in TextEdit, or anything), it wouldn't move. The problem was fixed after I installed USB Overdrive (http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=13443&db=mac) for my Logitech optical mouse, and I installed the 10.2.4 update. So the only advice I can gave is make sure you have 10.2.4, and if you have a non-Apple mouse then perhaps you should get a program like USB Overdrive (unless you already have such an app, or your mouse came with OS X software, or whatever).
