Recently I noticed on, after clicking on my Hard Drive to pull up my applications folder, a folder called "sw" (it says it was created Jan 14th 2003). Anyway, I have no idea what it is or does.

I opened it and found the following files which I don't have an application to open any of tme according to my computer.

libcrypto.0.9.6.dylib
libcurl.2.0.2.dylib
libcurl.2.dylib
libdl.0.dylib
libssl.0.9.6.dylib

Anyone know what this is and/or should I worry about it at all?

Thanks

There are some programs (especially Norton programs, but others as well) that like to create little folders full of crap on your hard drive. You probably shouldn't worry about it...I think I saw mention of an "sw" folder in some other thread, and it was just from some program.

Did you install Fink? Or, did you recently install Virex 7.2? It's something from one of those programs. For me, when I installed Virex 7.2, that folder was installed. I logged in as root, deleted it, and then Virex stopped working. Just leave it. It's not destroying your system or doing anything bad.
