How do i get rid of this pop up?

Ive been on OSX about a month - just got my first annoying pop-up on firefox. How do i get rid of it? Obviously i dont want to click OK, apple-w doesnt work and theres no close icon. I was on Myspace when it happened.

Oh wow, that is some evil bastardyness. I would just minimise it and keep using FF until I'm ready to quit and then it should go away.

I had to quit firefox to get rid of it in the end. Grrr.

I haven't seen this particular one, but try getting the adblock extension -- http://adblock.mozdev.org -- it is pretty good at blocking extra-nuisance pop-ups.

Although, FWIW, I think clicking the OK button should be harmless on OS X and Firefox. It would probably even be harmless on Windows and Firefox. God knows what would happen if you're using MSIE though. :(

P.S. Spill the beans...whose profile should I not be visiting? :p

Thanks. Was a little worried as i've never seen an actual mac dialogue box come up - only those fake graphical representations of an XP desktop with the OK button thats actually a link.

Oh, gotcha! :eek Trick is that when you see those -- they usually won't have Firefox logos or look particularly like Mac windows. ;)

I've got that pop up a few times, I think it was from file hosting sites
