I read this article (http://news.com.com/2100-1001-985432.html) on cnet. I couldn't find anything here about it. I think this is interesting news.

Why should they? If they just keep clocking the existing P4's higher and higher, most people won't care that they're not running a 64 bit processor. :rolleyes:

I was under the assumption that M$'s currectly beta OS was going to be 64 bit, though...

Very interesting. Seems like Intel has no plans for 64-bit computing for the desktop in the near future.

Microsucks is working in a 64 bit version of windows for the lunch of AMD's Opertone. (due in April)
