I'd really like to get a MacBook, so I'm looking into selling the machines that it could replace...
The first is my Core Solo Mini, completely stock configuration. It was ordered the day they were announced (2/28 I think), and used lightly since then. Everything is in perfect condition, including the original box, which would be included. I'm thinking of offering it for $500+shipping (~$20 I suppose). I think this is a good deal considering that its regularly $599+shipping+tax.
Next is my Nov. '04 model 12" iBook G4 1.2GHz, 512MB, 30GB, AE, Combo Drive. I got a new battery about a year ago (whenever Apple recalled the original battery), so the battery is younger than the machine and still holds about a 4+ hour charge. It came with 256MB of RAM and I added a 256MB stick of Crucial. The top of the iBook has the usual hairline scratches in the finish that can only be seen in direct light. The track pad has some wear in its finish, and you can notice a slight graying of the finish to the left and right of the trackpad where I rest my wrists. It still has all of its feet (which have never even come off) and the spacer things on top of the display. I have never had a single problem with any of the hardware. I will include all of the original DVDs and cables, which includes OS X 10.3 and iLife '05. I will also include a separate boxed copy of OS X 10.4 Tiger. In addition, I will include a gray RadTech Sleevz cover, a matching gray RadTech ScreenSavrz cloth, and a black Brenthaven Glove (http://www.brenthaven.com/catalog-glove.html) case that is specifically desinged for the 12" iBook. I don't have the original box for the laptop. I'm thinking of offering this package for $700+shipping. I figure that's $600 for the iBook and $100 for the extra protective gear.
Let me know if everybody thinks these are fair prices. I can post pictures later if people want.
