Sorry guys
I know this is a Mac forum but I thought to give it a shot...
I need a PC laptop that can run WinXP Pro , preferably I would like one with a dedicated video card that is good enough to play Elder Scrolls Morrowind , NOT Oblivion...
screen size needs to be at least 13"widescreen or 14" regular, crappy battery life is OK, small hard drive is OK,
So if anyone has a PC laptop they no longer want I really need one for class this summer and fall , the software used is ONLY available on Win and I got my PB just last year so I not ready( nor have the money) to upgrade to an macbook pro.

my budget is under $1,000 including shipping.
PM me with offers please...:o

Well, I dont know what the requirements for Morrowind are, but I'll throw this out there.

Acer Pentium III 850 MHz laptop, with a 20 GB hard disk, DVD-ROM, RageXL 8MB graphics, and 192MB of RAM, 14" screen, and a dead battery.

Well, I dont know what the requirements for Morrowind are...

System Requirements:

* Windows ME/98/XP/2000
* 500 MHz Intel Pentium III, Celeron, or AMD Athlon processor
* Windows ME/98 128 MB RAM; Windows XP/2000 256 MB RAM
* 32MB Direct3D Compatible video card and DirectX 8.1 compatible driver
* 1 GB free hard disk space
* 8X CD-ROM
* DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card;

minimum requirements from amazon... would recommend 'way' higher than the base requirements based on playing the game from time to time.

If you want to run XP Pro you need specs WAY higher than that.

Hi Guys

I just went through my inbox -WOW:eek: - I got alot of responses...
Thank You for the offers
I will reply to the PM's when I have the night to think it over.
Some of the offers were stupid, like $1,000 USD for a 800mhz Dell Brick:eek: :confused: :mad: , etc...
others bear thought...

A few points to add :
-I dont need the WinXP Pro discs , the Univerisity will give me those
-I am located in Vancouver, BC, Canada so there is the border tariffs to think about as well :mad:, as well as the extra cost of shipping...
-When PM please list your asking price as well, not "make me an offer" , I know how much PC laptops go for new but not used...
- I dont need a portable laptop, I just need a PC that works and wont take up much space...my apt is really small...
Thanks

I'll let mine go for 230 shipped including two extra LCD panels and an extra keyboard for it.

It runs Windows XP Professional quite nicely, and is expandable to a 1 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.

- I dont need a portable laptop....

*cough*

No, I know the feeling. Due to an idiot roommate I'm forced to forfeit the living room, kitchen, and bathroom of our apartment, so my room becomes my known world.
