I was running windows on my 2gx macbook pro today. I tried using one of the projectors at the school(had to use my video adapter that came with the computer) and it just wouldn't work. Is it that windows doesn't recognize the different adapter that macs use, or what? I was pretty disappointed :(

Well what do you mean by "just won't work"?

Did you look in Display preferences? Detect Displays? Could it be a resolution issue? Was the projector configured to accept a feed through VGA?

By just won't work I mean that it won't with mine. I plugged it into another computer(a native windows machine) and it worked no problem with just a few keystrokes (fn+f keys) those were tried on my computer as well.

I have no idea why it doesn't work...

Canada, eh?
Does it work with your Mac in regular OS X mode?

Projectors are one of the things that "should just work", this is one of the big reasons I love my Mac for presentation work..
