...with smoke and all, i thought it was a gonner but last night I had some time on my hands and did a little surgury..

and there it is working once again in its gutted form...seems like a bunch of transistors had burnt out.

after i took everything apart i decided to take this pic...i was looking at the whole mess and was wondering if i would ever be able to put it back together haha

I did in fact put it all backtogether, minus a screw or two ;) and for those of you wondering yes I did reapplied the thermal paste ;)

Omg I just shivered a little at the thought of what my cat would do with all those tiny parts on the floor!:)

I hope the "patient" recovers fast!

What area of the case was the dirty plate and fork located?

they were actually stuck between the processor daughter card and the main board...have no idea how they got in there, might have caused the fried resistors too ;)
