They eliminated the WorldBook encyclopedia that used to be bundled with the iBooks. If MS Word is purchased after the 30-day trial, it there a major jump in the price?

I believe MS Office is the same if you buy it before the 30day trial is up or not.

It definitely has a clock. Damn sure bout it. Also another poster already told you bout Calculator. REally cool apps.

Also there are a few dull, uninteresting apps thrown in which jsw and steelphantom have already covered in earlier posts.

OK no more kidding. Dont worry bout what it comes with. There are a lot of apps and there will be no point in just telling you the names of these softwares. You`ll get to know bout them only when you have the MB in your hands and start using these apps.

For the most part, if you never launch them, they won't ever create a preference file or anything. Just go ahead and Trash them first.

And most of the time, the orphan files don't take up any significant space. It's not like they go around asking, "Please sir, I'd like some more." If you worry about a few dozen 20K files on your 80-gig disk, you should seek counseling for obsessive-compulsive disorder. :)

Hello, one way to do this, the way I like to, is I do a custom install on my Mac when I first get it. For me this is the best/easiest way to have "only" what I want on my HDD. For example I don't install any language other than English on it to save room as well as only the drivers of the brand printer I'm using (not even that as of late). Next you can choose only the programs you want. But if you don't want to go through this hassle then just delete what you don't want (program wise) and use spotlight to find the rest of it's files.
The best way is some people around here use a program that helps remove "unwanted items" without removing to much. Sorry I don't remember the name of it, since I don't use it, but someone surely knows. I think madjew here at MR would know the name off hand but I'm not sure.
I hope that helps out some and that someone can give you that name of the program I'm thinking of.

Pfft. Pretty crappy line up there then. With Windows you get really cool things like Calculator, Solitaire, Paint. Plus you get some animated dog to help you with searching for things that somehow manages to slow your new £1500 PC down to a halt :rolleyes:

Thanks mad jew, I mean AppZapper for the apps., as for the language part I just install English using the custom install. I've never looked for a program to remove any excess languages before because of that. Again this past time with my iMac, I didn't install any drivers as I figure my printer/scanner came with install discs or I will download the ones I need (to save space).
