Hi,
I need to earn some money this summer to buy my very own macbook. The prices that i can get are £601, £702, £803 for each of the 3 models. I thought about selling each of them to get some profit so that i can get my blackbook for £600. How much would you pay for each of the models???
Thanks,
Richard

How can you get those prices? If they are with some educational discount or something, IIRC you can't sell it on? I dunno. I thought I read that somewhere.

IIRC he has access to PCWorld's business pricing (ie. No VAT, + discounted hardware in the first place). Selling it on would be unethical to say the least because you shouldn't be buying it as a "business expense" if you're then going to be selling it on.

As an HE customer in the first place I'm not that interested, it's only about £40 to get them from Apple direct (where I get a 3 year warranty...and I know it's all nice and legit! :p)

If it weren't for that I'd say perhaps £50 on top of what you're paying, maybe £75...except that I don't think you should be doing it in the first place :o

Entirely agree there, Miss Uber.

I'd also motion that if you're going to be doing something like this, it's a bit silly to go posting in forums about it…

I'm not going to sell them in mass quyantity. I have 2 friends who really want one but they find the prices extortionate. I was just trying to get your vew on how much i should charge them if i indeed go through with it which is rather unlikely.

If they were my friends who wanted them and I had no problem abusing my privileges, I'd sell them at cost. Maybe round up to the nearest $5 or £5, just for ease of transaction.

Making money off friends is a good way to lose friends.

This cannot possibly be legal. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but we can't condone it.
