I just saw a clip from the MTV music awards of a band dressed in Star Wars garb. It looked like the singer was really singing, but the rest of the band was def air guitar. Who was that and what was the song?
Thanks in advance!

If you listen when he's goin' on about being crazy (the refrain), there are strings. It sounds like he actually hired some, instead of using a synthesizer... AWESOME! (I hate synthesized strings.. it sounds bad...)
It looked like the bassist was actually playing in the youtube clip, and the drummer was doing his thing correctly, too.
Also, in the clip, as he's walking out and the heavy breathing is going on, you can see the storm trooper-dressed bassist tuning.
The song for the most part (I didn't listen too hard, the audio of the youtube clip), the song is nothing more than drum, bass guitar, and backup singers going "ooooo" in various triads. When the chorus comes in, then strings get in on that mix.
Aaaaaaand I've thought too much about this song.
Less think, more jamming.
edit:
ignore that part about synthesized strings. Stupid crappy powerbook speakers and overtired ears!

Whats the whole deal with Gnarls Barley Anyways? I know thats Cee-lo singing that song, and if you check out the website it says something like.. Gnarls is a real person, but no one is really sure who he is... I just dont get it. Is it sort of like the Gorillas?

The "band" is just "cee lo" the rapper/producer and "dangermouse" the producer that did the last gorillaz album and the adult swim danger doom album production. It was all created using Ableton Live with samples. So there is no one really named Gnarles Barkley. They are just sorta making up a mysterious character. So yeah..i guess it is sort of "Gorillaz-ish"

ARGH. I'm so sick of this song. I rarely listen to FM radio anymore and yet everytime I attempt to, this song is on! ARGH!
