How do you save game in NSMB after you open up all the mushrooms?

I beat the game and I'm pretty sure I opened up all the Mushroom houses (pay 5 stars to open deal)... so how do i save my game from now on?

Just press start, and there's a save option Voila!

You can also go back to world 1 (after the game is beat), then their will be a new blue mushroom house thing there. Go in it, and it will allow you to change your backrounds. All you have to to is change the backround, go back outside, and it will ask to save.

a little OT, but I'm actually finding this game to be a little tough. getting all those coins, even just beating level 1 on the first secret world. gah!
