The world is smaller than you may think.

(I have no idea who Ted Wallingford is)

Is that really you, or is it someone that just has the same google talk as your AIM?

PS- Ted Wallingford doesnt have many buddies ;)

Yeah that's really me. I think he used my tutorial on how to setup iChat with Google Talk from way back.

I can't remember if he's ever spoken to me, though, since his screen name isn't shown on there :P It's probably on my list somewhere along with like everyone who's ever read slashdot :D

Smash, I apologize. I thought I had obtained permission from everybody in my buddy list before submitting to MW. I do think I read your Google Talk tutorial along the line somewhere, and that's probably why I buddied you. Yes, my buddy list is rather short (though my Skype buddy list is very long). I hope you enjoyed the article and got some worthwhile info from it!

wtf... how is this thread back...

Ted Wallingford (assuming bitterted is legit...no reason to assume he's not) showed up to apologize for including smash's account info without permission. Where's the confusion?

seemed odd

smash wsn't bent out of shape about it. at least, it didn't seem that way.

we get an awful lot of people around here begging for attention. to have a person with one post all of a sudden show up and get this thread going again? seemed a little too coicidental to me.

i'f i'm being to skeptical, i appologize

Meh...I think it's all good.

Even though smash wasn't upset about it, Ted should have asked permission...hence the apology. It wouldn't surprise me if Ted comes to MR occasionally as a guest, but felt that he had to register and post when he saw what had happened.
