I searched and came up with no real answers

I just bought an Xbox 360 (has not arrived yet) and I was wondering if my Live subscription would transfer over? Also is it worth it to upgrade to gold? I assume if your Live account does transfer, they will only give you the capabilities of a silver membership.

Yes, it will transfer.

If you have a paid subscription on your Xbox, that's Xbox Live Gold on the 360.

Also, 'Live Silver' gets you jack. No online play. No fun.

Waste of a 'level', if you ask me.

You can still talk to people though. That's about it.

I've only played online a few times so far since owning the system since January... but I'm still glad for silver with the dashboard updates, the demos, trailers, and Live Arcade.
