I'm thinking after the Sugar Land store opens of trying an Apple store tour of Texas. All 10 stores in one day. 8 would be doable, not sure about the last 2.

I've updated my post over at the New Apple Retail Stores in 2006 (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=189315&page=6) thread. Congratulations on the store and the post. Let us know how the opening goes. ;)

Now don't start throwing (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=208701) those donuts around...

What are the odds that some of the other Houston area genius staff have transferred in the hope that you stop terrorising them at their current stores? You'll probably find a 'Warning: This is KT' poster in their rest area.

I think you are on to something Applespider. I spotted this at the new store but didn't notice the fine print until now...

Just because they can't answer my questions!
Pssshawwww, getting questions from me should be part of the training geniuses go through.

If you can't fix my PowerBook when I screw it up trying to do something really cool, then they shouldn't be allowed to be a genius.

Actually, there's an ex-galleria employee that I haven't seen for a while, who I'm hoping won't be working at the new one.

I made it by today. Something that may be unique about this store (I've not seen one like this) is it is built to look like it is outside. So instead of just a normal apple store mall front, it goes up higher to the ceiling and looks like the front of a free-standing apple store. I'm not explaining it well and I wish I had a picture, but it did look cool. The upper front area was grey like the San Francisco store and had a big apple.

The weather and traffic were horrid so no free t-shirt for me, but I did enter the contest. As far as "the studio" thing I didn't notice any special area that wasn't in the other mall based apple stores (I had hoped for the movie screen and theater seating or something cool). Houston needs a non-mall apple store that is larger! :)

If you notice, that's what the whole mall looks like. It's supposed to be like a little village with the halls = streets. That's why there are street signs everywhere.
Same deal with Katy Mills.. I forget what first colony is about, though.

I DO like the silver though.. *drool*

I did... but it's of my friend getting beaten at DDR by a clerk who works at the Apple Store Houston Galleria. He was at something like 859 combo, while she was at 32. I got up to 7 once! :D

Even if everything was finished, it would still be scary. I think I'll never take another trip anywhere around Houston or Sugarland.

It's not THAT bad.

BTW, razzmatazz, I'm digging the video. :D
Man.. I look like such a packrat. Next time, the purse and computer bag are getting combined... and I'm gonna wear little heels. I was thinking of doing it for this one, but I'm definitely doing it for the next.

AWESOME! Let's open another store! I'll see you 2nd in line. :)

I used a Canon Ultura for videoing. I used LiveType for the Aftershock Films Presents and Texas Razzmatic and the Aftershock titles. I used iMovie 6 for the video editing. All edited on my iMac G5.
