View Full Version : Interesting Tidbits from Old CNET Article: iPod II, 970, and 3d Screens

This was posted a while back... but I think some of these items may have been missed... or forgotten.

This CNet article from pre-MacWorldSF:

The iPod II, in fact, is one of three principal pieces of hardware in Apple?s labs that Apple has shown analysts but not officially announced yet. The company is also working on computers that will contain IBM's 32-bit and 64-bit chip and a computer with a 3D screen, similar to the screens recently unveiled by Sharp. Of course, Doherty added that not everything in the lab eventually goes public.

This is perhaps the most "public" confirmation that the 970's will be used by Apple. The 3d screen was mentioned a while back by an eeTimes article.

The iPod II info also is a bit interesting... as it means these rumors that have been floating around may be based on real info. :)
