automatic locking icons

how do i have my icons automatically lock into place (just like in windows), so my icons are more organized.

The following path

Finder-->Menubar->View>View Options, then check Snap to grid.
Finder short cut Command-J

Keep arranged by... if you want.

Also, if you want to grid just a few, turn the grid off, and then select the icons you want grided and select Clean Up Selection. It won't pememntly grid icons, but it will clean up a selection with in a window.
