Now I wonder how we activate it in the client version of OSX?

Apple released a beta version of IP over Firewire for the client version a couple months ago, but then pulled it publicly. It is still available at ADC - even free memberships have access to it!

I know. 10.2.4 Server has the non-beta version. I'm wondering how to get that. The beta has been up for ages.
