world of warcraft is good if you're looking for an online one, and fable's VERY good for a single-player, more action-oriented rpg.

Neverwinter Nights. I must say that it is one of the best RPGs out there, as long as you dont mind a bit of complexity and a long campaign. it would be nice if the mac version had the level editor but I suppose neveredit will have to suffice.

Hello? Diablo2 with expansion. Even though it lacks grpahics it is still a very adictive game. If you are looking for a more modern game then get into world of warcraft. It has some diablo elements incorporated into it but has improved in other areas where other rpgs of its kind failed. IMO best mmorpg out is WoW.

Yep, Chrono Trigger came first, and was for the Super Nintendo... Chrono Cross could be considered a sequel. I haven't played it yet but I will eventually.

Fallout 2 is a good choice. There seem to be comparatively few modern, offline RPGs released at all, let alone on the Mac. I still haven't gotten around to KOTOR myself (I was holding out hope for a universal binary), but I may finally break down and just Rosetta it.
