Man that must have sucked for the 'independent contractor'.

Think about being hired to muck around sewage lines looking for a stuck iPod.

This sort of happened to me with my nano - which after a good wash through with distilled water and an over nıght dry at 37 degrees celcius is now better than before.

A campus maintenance worker called the four-inch long portable music player "indestructible," as repeated attempts to free the iPod failed, the story said.Just found this quote funny about her Mini... remember all the buzz about the nano screens breaking? :)

Thanks. Now I just smeared my new iPod during my wipe procedure. The iPod shuffle with lanyard is the only safe way to go. Otherwise, you're just playing with fire.

Haha, that's awesome. But the real question is: does it still work?

In the end, the seemingly innocent iPod caused a semester-long sewage problem that cost the university $1,000 a week.

That's $18,000. Holy Crap.:p

I sure as hell would still listen to it if it worked or I'd sell to some wierd person. That iPod must be invincible, you can even flush it down the crapper, it will never go away.

An independent contractor was called in to deal with the problem. He was able to get the iPod to move 20 feet, but then it became stuck again underneath the office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences.
In order to get the iPod out from under that building, crews simultaneously flushed as many toilets as they could and they turned on every sink. That caused a water surge which pushed the iPod into a larger more accessible pipe.

They paid this guy $4000 to flush a few toilets?
