iPod Appendding and mixing AAC (or MP3) audio files

I have an album where I would like to append two songs into one file, and then mix that new file with another song. I know this sounds strange, but on the new Tool album, if you append to separate tracks and play that new track along with another track on the same album, it creates a "Mega" secret song.

I have a PC. Does anybody know of any software that would allow me to do this?

You could also try Audacity, just google it you should find it. Its free and works pretty good. I used to use Cool Edit Pro but that was while I was still in school and had access to it.
