Constant restarting.

Does constant restarting of the MBP hurt it? I've had to do this because of a failed attempt to install WinXP on my comp and it wouldn't let me back on OSX.

Restarting shouldn't have any negative effects at all as far as I know. In fact I usually find that problems can often be resolved or things improved after a restart.
