Yeah, stupid question.

I'm booting the computer and holding down C, but nothing seems to be changing. Am I doing it right?

I'm assuming you have the disks in the drive.?

Are you holding down C, or just pressing it?
Yeah, Install disc 1 is in the optical drive when I start it up. I'm holding down C from the go, and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm just trying to perform an Archive and Install on the system.

What should I be looking for here?

It should be working...

Is the disk inserted before you turn the computer on (i.e. insert disk and then restart while holding C).

Will I get some sort of message when I boot from the disc to let me know I did it right?

Instead of holding C, try holding Option. You should get a list of bootable volumes and you can click the one you want.

Thanks guys, I already performed the Archive and Install. It went over smoothly.

C didn't work for whatever reason, so I just opened the installer from the disc drive manually! Gah!
