Getting Bochs running

Does anybody here have any experince with bochs (http://bochs.sourceforge.net/)?

I'm trying to get it running on my iBook, and it doesn't seem to want to work. I alos have no idea of what I'm really doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

First of all, I don't know what I'm doing either, but I downloaded it recently and looked through some stuff. I think it requires X11, but I haven't installed that yet, so I didn't really try to get it running. All in all, I don't know for sure if it requires X11, but that's the impression I got.

For me the disk image won't even mount (.img) . It failed due to error 95 (no mountable file systems) Why?

And if I understand right if you have bochs and x11 you can install a version of windows (that you own) and it will run in its own x11 window? so its like open source virtual pc?
