Congrats on the new macbook. Just a word of warning... if you bump your posts you run the risk of having your thread closed by the mods.

Yes, bumping can lead to negative consequences. But I believe that the OP is simply ecstatic over just receiving such a wonderful computer. :)

Seriously, picked up a black MB this afternoon at the Apple store near me. I had a little moo when running an install disc, quieted right away when install was over. No issues since. And the machine is beautiful, a joy to use! :D

ive grown past the complaints about the macbooks, its come to my attention that of all products that ship, there are usually 3-5% that have some issues. that leaves at least 95% prime condition products for the rest of us, and most people lay in that group.

Well, the MacBooks that I have seen at the Apple Store have shown no sign of that. Hopefully yours will be no different. :)

yea and i went the a comp usa yesturday, and talked to a rep there - he said that they have had their macbook for a month, with 5-7 people toying with it a day, and they never clean it, and it still looks basically brand new.

sweetness.
but yea, this sucks: i recieved my free ipod nano, cases for it, and my waterfield case today (in 2 days mind you, which is amazing) BUT, i JUST got notified by email that the macbook is shipping today, and is to be here by the 30TH! im pretty pissed. i ordered 2 day shipping through apple, and it is expected to be here by next wednesday at the latest. should i call and complain? i really dont want to have to wait a week and a half for an online ordered computer, with 2 day shipping.

There shipping estimates are way off. I ordered a wireless keyboard and got it in 3 days with standard shipping. I am sure you will get it. If it is shipped, expect in the next 2 days. No doubt.

i sureeee hope so. but also, keyboards and such are warehoused or stocked at places and stores in the US. computers are sent from china...at least i think so.
