Hi
Im trying to do some animations in flash that will ultimately be shown on a projector, but im aware i need to set up my flash document to a screen size.

Can anyone help me with screen ration sizes? Pixels x pixels??? Frame rates?

Any help or links in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Cheers
A.

Like Tex said, it depends on what you are doing.

TV/ Video is 640x480 or 720x480 for USA standards.

Computers start at 800x600 and go up. 1024x768 is the next in line.
Then it jumps to 1152x864, 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x960, 1280x1024...that's where mine stops but some of these new machines go up into the 1900 and higher resolution...

hope that's as clear as mud.

good luck.

Can I assume you're not talking about a huge, span-across-a-stage projector?

Is there only one projector that you'll always be using? Only one room? If so, then tailor your frame resolution to whatever looks best in that situation.

If those things will change or are unknown, 1024x768 is good because it's a standard size that any projector and any non-ancient computer can handle.

Thanks everyone.

Im not working on a massive scale, just in night clubs, and it will be a different set up each time. Essentially the animation will run through the same dvd player each time, but possibly a different projector. So does this mean i should set my stage/document to 1024x768???? Is that a good start place? Is there a specific spec for wide screen???? Anything else i should know???

Cheers!:)

You won't be able to count on a given projector being able to do widescreen. If that's the look you want to go for, you're probably better off keeping it at 4:3 and just letterboxing it.

1024x768 is a standard size that every projector will be able to handle. Some of these projectors may be old, uncalibrated, or just plain crappy, so don't be surprised if it looks different with each one.
