experiences with refurb iPods

I was planning on buying a refurb 30 gig 5G, but my friend said he knew 3 people who bought refurbs that ended up being defective. How have your experiences been with refurb iPods? And anyway, you're allowed to return anything 14 days after you buy it if it's defective, right?

If its defective, you're covered under the same 1 year guarantee from Apple, just like the new ones. I wouldn't be too worried, the refurb iPods are at a fantastic price :)

i bought a refurb ipod and it is excellent, its like new in every way (even came with the protective film on it! And if it breaks, its covered under applecare, perfect.
