Im selling my powerbook, to buy a macbook pro

how do i create an image of my disk, so i can later restore it on my new macbook pro?

CarbonCopyCloner is a fantastic free utility for creating a disk image... BUT I don't think a PPC disk image will boot your new intel MBP. I think this might be a case of backing up your data through a straightforward copy and they restoring your prefs, passwords etc. later
