I've got a beige G3 (266 I believe) that is getting no use right now and has pretty much already been stripped of its valuable components. You can't really get any money for these anymore, so I was hoping to turn it into a remote wireless music server in the house that all of the roommates using itunes can access. I've got an airport express already hooked up to the stereo. First of all, I was hoping to find a cheap, preferably used, mac-compatible PCI wireless card (b is fine). Secondly, can the last OS9 version of itunes share its music with users running current versions of itunes? I'd like to just stick this thing in a closet and let it run all the time so that anyone in the house can open up itunes and see (via their own wireless cards) the music collection stored on this G3. Any suggestions? Also, I keep my main collection of music on my imac G5. How can I set it up so that I can easily update what's on this G3 with whatever I've added to my imac (or whatever anyone else has added to their own collections)? Thanks.
