I have a 17" Sony CRT that's not in use. It's fairly bright etc and I was wondering if it's possible to connect it to my iMac? The crt has a 15 Pin cable (3 rows of 5 in a trapezeoid (lol spelling >_>)) so I'm assuming I'd need a converter type cable inbetween.

My iMac is the current 17" model.

Now, assuming this is all possible, can I have the 2nd monitor in use as a TV, so, for example, only Front Row works on it? To explain what I mean see the attatchment. I want to replace my TV as it's broken and I don't really watch TV enough to justify spending £100 on a new one...

Cheers for any help.

I don't know about using the second monitor solely for Front Row, but I believe the cable you are describing is VGA, so here is Apple's Mini-DVI (which your iMac has) to VGA adapter. It should hook right up to your iMac w/o a problem.
