Hey all... this isn't exaclty a windows on mac questions as much as just a windows question period. I'm looking for a program that will allow me to partition my Latitude D620 hard drive without having to reinstall windows. Partition magic will do the trick but that software is $70. Does anyone know of anything cheaper that will do the same thing? The reason I ask here is I trust MR members more than those on other forums. Thanks!

Google for the free gparted livecd - it can resize ntfs partitions w/o destroying data.

Be warned, though, back up your data first. Gparted is fairly flakey.

Plus, if it gives you weird error messages you need to try deleting some files (to get more free space) then defragment before it lets you resize.
